Boston Sixteen is a very unique property sitting right at the edge of downtown and MidTown Tulsa. The building has some history attached to it as it was the former home of Tulsa music legend, Leon Russell. The style of the building is also very unique as it has a very old world European feel to the architecture. Boston is the name of the street that the property is on and Tulsa is developing this area into what will be known as SOBO for South Boston and will be adding shopping, restaurants and nightlife. We wanted the brand to reflect the history and the future of South Boston.
When we thought of Boston Sixteen, we thought “Boston”. When we think about Boston and the European style of the building, we think Boston, Massachusetts and all of the Irish elements that make up Boston’s history. We wanted the design to take you where your brain was already headed. We started with the Irish greens and golds, framed in the typography with a celtic style border and pulled an Irish knot as the Boston Sixteen “O”.
