England Coffee Co was developed in an effort to transport the end user to another time and place. We wanted this brand to feel like it was created 100 years ago, so we set out to build it “the way” it would have been built in that time period.
The brand construction was fairly simple unless you happened to be the illustrator. The objective for this brand was hand illustrated, two colorways, simple in form, old world and established. For the alternate color, we added the color of coffee stain. Seemed fitting. The typography was selected in order for it to feel hand painted with nods to an old world calligraphic style. A few logo variations were created along with a coffee stain style stand-alone icon.
